Very beautiful spot in the woods with a wonderful garden with many Sequoia trees, other pines, maple trees, shrubs and bushes. A real gem 💎 in the woods just outside the village of Kaldenkirchen. Well worth the visit! But be aware, only open on Sundays and public holidays. Free admission but please give a donation on your way out. It's well appreciated and put towards the upkeep of the gardens.

Decent small farm. We weren’t aware of the opening hours (photo) so it was closed when we got there. The sequoias are nice but it might take some more decades to let them grow as impressive as the ones in the US National Park. There are some nice hiking trails around this area.

Sequoia trees in Germany. Planted in the fifties. There's even a seedling of The General Sherman.

Spiritual place, it takes a certain someone to plant a tree that will grow for hundreds of years .. A real sense of future, beautiful natural landscape, not forced and amazing to see such incredible statuesque trees all in one place !

Beautiful park! And even though the trees are only about 60yrs old, they are already massive and imposing. If you are nearby, be sure to give it a visit!
